“The Kraken” for Clash of the Titans

This creature took the longest to design. We must have easily done a few hundred concepts, but in the end it was well worth it. I’m very happy with what the character looked like in the film. Thanks MPC!

Hey jerad

I have seen some of these before because I was the main modeller on the kraken :)
Really cool work man !
Could you do me a favor and change your post because it was MPC that did the kraken and the harpies in the final sequence.

I loved doing it, it was great fun.
I actually prefer some of these design to the one the client chose but hey it still turned out pretty cool.

glad you liked it

I loved the original film so much that when I heard they were doing a remake, I was a little disheartened. Seeing the "Kracken" though, wow, restored my faith. The designs are fantastic and I love what you've done with them.

Hey! I actually watched the movie recently and loved the art work! As a current student in Illustration with a dream job [Don't worry, I'm realistic about the fact it's a dream] of breaking into concept art myself, I have to say I drooled over this movie!
I was also wondering... is there a possibility of there being an art book for the movie? I would love to have that! I think it'd be great inspiration but I'd buy it just to drool.
